Bowie Boys Lacrosse Club has built a high-quality program that incorporates club pride, a high level of competition, and assists all levels of learning, from beginner to advanced. We help young lacrosse players reach their potential by providing quality coaching, learning, and team building in a safe and fun environment.

Students who attend Bowie High School or attend an alternative school but live in the Bowie district are welcome to join our program!
Bowie Boys Lacrosse is happy to announce James Burleson-Porras as the new Bowie HS Boys Lacrosse Head Coach. He also serves as an Assistant Coach for NCAA Division 3 Southwestern University. Previously, he was the JV Head Coach for Westwood HS as well as a coach for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, Westlake, and the Javelinas Lacrosse Club, who he took to the World Series of Youth Lacrosse in Denver, CO. Coach BP graduated from Jesuit College Prep (Dallas) in 2003, where he captained, earned All-State honors and played for a state championship. Coach BP graduated from Stanford University in 2009, earning 1st Team All-Conference and scholar-athlete honors as well as an invitation to play for Team USA West. After graduation, Coach BP competed for Team Peru as a captain and midfielder in Netanya, Israel for the 2018 World Games, set a tournament record for goals in a game, led the tournament in points, and finished in the top 10 in faceoff percentage, placing Peru 2nd in the world behind the USA in faceoffs. He still plays for the 4x Texas National Champions of the World Capitals Lacrosse Club. When not coaching or playing lacrosse, Coach BP enjoys life in Austin with his wife, son, and daughter.
