Greetings from the student athletes, the Bowie High School Lacrosse program, and  Bowie Boys Lacrosse Association (BBLAX).  We are a south Austin based lacrosse organization dedicated to the growth of the sport in the Central Texas area, committed to the development of the student athletes eager to play the sport of lacrosse, and the expansion of a positive athletic program spanning from youth through high school at James Bowie High School. 

While lacrosse has increased in popularity in the Central Texas area, it is not a Texas UIL sport. Therefore, our program, now entering it’s 31st season, receives zero financial assistance from schools or school districts, which means we must cover 100% of the expenses in order to keep the program running and growing. 

And as the burden of donations weighs heavily on families, we also rely on community donations  to keep these hard-working boys playing this incredible sport, honing athleticism while teaching leadership and teamwork–valuable life skills they will carry throughout their lives. 

Our mission as BBLAX is to provide financial support for the program by collecting dues, planning fundraisers, and reaching out to the community for contributions to offset the cost of maintaining and growing a thriving athletic program. BBLAX will support both coaches and players by fostering our passion for the sport of lacrosse and the team spirit we aim to grow from youth through our high school program.
